Visit Skirball Cultural Center

  |     |   Places To Go

Did you know that less than 15 minutes from your Encino apartment you can visit one of the area’s best museums?  Skirball Cultural Center is more than a museum and close by.  The Center has rotating exhibits, a performing arts center with live music, films, comedy, theater, and educational experiences, as well as learning programs.  The museum is dedicated to highlighting Jewish history in the United States, but is a great experience for everyone.

The current exhibits include:
Chasing Dreams: Baseball and Becoming  a Legend – an exhibit that highlights baseball’s great contributors by minority players.
The Unauthorized History of Baseball: The Art of Ben Sakoguchi – a colorful display of baseball through the eyes of artists Ben Sakoguchi.
Visions and Values – a permanent  collection of Judaica.
Noah’s Ark – A wall to ceiling replica of the “ark.”

Purchasing tickets for the Ark exhibit prior to arriving at the museum on weekends and during school vacations is recommended.
