It is almost here, the 88^th Annual Academy Awards.  Actor Chris Rock will be hosting the show, which will feature some great performers and presenters.  If you do not have plans yet, why not invite some friends over to your Encino apartment and watch the Oscars together.

Here are some tips for throwing a fun Oscar Night party.

Popcorn.  Nothing says movies like popcorn.  Stop by your local party store and pick up some popcorn boxes or bags to serve your guests popcorn to watch the show.

Champagne.  You have to serve champagne while watching the Oscars.  Serve up some bubbly and add a star fruit or a strawberry for a Hollywood touch.

Finger Food.

Serve some small sandwiches that you pick up from your local supermarket for an easy and filling party food.

Cheese and Crackers make another easy option, as does Shrimp Cocktail.

Chocolate Buffet

The 2016 Governor’s Ball has an impressive chocolate buffet with a chocolate fountain.  You don’t have to go all out, but stop by your local bakery or bakery department and pick up anything chocolate and arrange it on a table.  Chocolate covered strawberries are a great choice, as well.

Games

There are so many different games to play to make the night more enjoyable.  Print out this downloadable ballot and award a prize for the most points.

Play movie trivia or predict who will win or make the longest acceptance speech.
