Security deposits for an apartment are not cheap! You want to make sure you get your money back and here is how to do it:

Inspect Your Apartment: Before you move in, check for any existing damages. Report anything you see and also take pictures for proof.

Keep it Clean: Make sure your apartment is in good condition. If you’ve caused any minor damages, try to fix them yourself.

Fix Any Changes: If want to make any major changes like painting the walls, be sure to change it back to it’s original color. Some property manager require you to change it back or it may cost you.
