Room by Room Tips to Make Your Apartment Look Larger

Here are some designer’s tips to making each room in your Encino apartment look larger.

•  Living Area – use furniture in neutral colors or match the walls to give the illusion of depth.
• Entry Way – keep the entry way clutter free and add a striped carpet; horizontal stripes will add width with vertical stripes will elongate your entry way.
• Spare Bedroom – use a day bed with storage underneath and one tall dresser instead of two shorter ones.
• Bathroom – keep the bathroom clutter free, use light colors and a clear shower curtain.
• Kitchen – stripes work well in kitchens as well. Use a striped carpet to make the room look wider or longer or striped towel cloths.  Keep countertop clutter to a minimum and let as much light in as possible.
