Thanksgiving and Fall are great times for decorating your home and if you are having friends over for Thanksgiving Day dinner or drinks and appetizers we have some welcoming decorating tips that any one can try.

Mason Jars – Mason jars are inexpensive and versatile.  You can fill them up with potpourri, Thanksgiving candy such as orange fruit slices or  you can paint them with milk paint and stencil the word Welcome, Fall or Home and place them in the entrance of your apartment.
Another easy and inexpensive idea is to take a glass jar and fill it with rocks.  Add a tree branch and add the names of your guests or reasons you are thankful to tags that you can purchase at any office supply store.  Make it personal by leaving a marker or chalk and ask your friends to write down what they are thankful for.

Greet guests on the outside of your apartment door with a small chalk board welcoming them and surrounded by dried leaves and hang it on your front door.  This inexpensive and easy decoration will make a welcoming impression this Thanksgiving.
