PJs: tell you guest to come dressed in their best pajamas and to bring their favorite blanket. Waiting for the NYE countdown can take a while, so you might as well be comfortable. Pjs take the pressure off and create a low key, laid back atmosphere.
Board game marathon: have each guest bring a board game and be ready to play as many as you can waiting for the countdown. You can place games in various areas of your apartment and create board game stations. This can be a lot of fun and keep this interesting.
